Join the Bolingbrook Pelicans Swim Team! Our professional coaching staff will help you develop skills in the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly), racing starts, and competitive turns. You will showcase those skills during swim meets.

Bolingbrook Pelican Swim Team competes in a winter and summer conference

  • Northern Illinois Winter Swim Conference (NIWSC)

Pelican Swim Team Requirements:

  • Ages 6-8 years: Must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle or back stroke, using correct technique (including rotary breathing).

  • Ages 9-10 years: Must be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle and backstroke, using correct technique (including rotary breathing), and must be familiar with breaststroke or butterfly.

  • Ages 11-12 years: Must be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle and backstroke, using correct technique (including rotary breathing and not stopping), and must be able to swim 50 yards of another competitive stroke (breaststroke or butterfly) with correct technique.

  • Ages 13-18 years: Must be able to swim 200 yards of freestyle and backstroke, using correct technique (including rotary breathing and not stopping) and must be able to swim 50 years of butterfly and breaststroke.

The Pelicans swim team is currently in-season and closed for enrollment. The next season runs May 27-June 26 and enrollment closes May 20. The pre-season informational meeting is May 21 at 6:00 pm.

Ages: High School (14-18)
These sections include adjusted dates and prorated fees to accommodate Bolingbrook Pelicans athletes who are also competing on their local IHSA swim teams. Participants will join the 13+ age group practice schedule and are only eligible to attend practices and competition meets when their IHSA team is not in season. For non-IHSA athlete registration, please see Bolingbrook Pelicans Swim Team. Pre: Sept 8-Nov 22 / Post: Feb 23-March 7.
